Iranian Missile Strikes Civilian Hospital in Southern Israel
“A grave violation of international law.” Jerusalem Post: An Iranian ballistic missile struck Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba on Thursday morning as sirens sounded across Israel following a barrage launched from Iran. There has been damage to the hospital, along with extensive damage in various other areas, the hospital spokesperson stated. Rescue teams have been operating at the scene to help people trapped in an elevator at the hospital, the Israel Fire and Rescue Service reported. A man, 60, is in serious condition due to wounds from the blast and shrapnel, along with three other people seriously wounded in Holon ( Jerusalem Post). IL Red Alert: A doctor at Soroka Hospital told Kann News: “Just yesterday we evacuated the old surgical building that took a direct hit today. It’s a great miracle” ( IL Red Alert). Avi Mayer: Unlike its adversaries, Israel does not utilize hospitals for military purposes. In Israel, a hospital is a hospital – a place to treat and heal the sick and infirm. Iran’s decision to target Soroka Hospital—and yes, it was targeted—just shows how evil and depraved it is ( Avi Mayer). Danny Danon, Israeli Ambassador to the U.N.: This is a grave violation of international law by Iran, which is launching missiles at Israeli cities with the clear intent to target civilian population centers. I call on the United Nations to immediately condemn this Iranian act of terror. We will not allow a terrorist regime to threaten the citizens of Israel. The Iranian regime will pay a heavy price for its unrestrained aggression ( Danon).

Report: Trump Has Plans to Deal With Iran; “I may do it, I may not do it.”
Wall Street Journal: The president is hoping that threatening to join Israel’s strikes will lead Tehran to abandon its nuclear program. President Trump told senior aides late Tuesday that he approved of attack plans for Iran, but was holding off on giving the final order to see if Tehran would abandon its nuclear program, three people familiar with the deliberations said. Since his private instructions in the White House Situation Room to the military, Trump has disclosed publicly that an attack is an option. “I have ideas on what to do but I haven’t made a final—I like to make the final decision one second before it’s due,” he told reporters Wednesday…. “I may do it, I may not do it,” he also told reporters Wednesday, repeating his demand for Iran’s unconditional surrender: “The next week is going to be very big, maybe less than a week” ( Wall Street Journal).

Israel Strikes Some 20 Nuclear Sites in Iran
While the world watches whether or not President Trump green lights action over Iran, Israel has already inflicted serious damage to some 20 nuclear sites: The Israeli Air Force completed a wave of airstrikes on some 20 Iranian nuclear and weapon production sites in Tehran, the military announces. Some 60 fighter jets were involved in the strikes, which the IDF says hit “weapons production sites, centrifuge production sites, as well as research and development sites of the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons development project.” The nuclear-related sites “were designated to allow the Iranian regime to expand the scale and pace of its uranium enrichment purpose of developing nuclear weapons,” the military says in a statement ( Times of Israel). IDF: These strikes directly degrade Iran’s ability to threaten Israel and the region ( IDF).

Iran-Backed Militias Hitting US Bases in Syria
Long War Journal : Iran-backed Iraqi militias launched missile attacks against three US bases in northeastern Syria last weekend, according to a report from the region. A US defense official did not deny that the missile strikes took place. At least five US bases in Iraq and Syria have come under fire from Iran-backed militias since Israel launched strikes against Iran on June 13, 2025. While no group has taken responsibility for the attack, the Islamic Resistance of Iraq (IRI), a collection of Iran-supported militias, is the only entity that has carried out nearly 200 attacks against US forces in Iraq and Syria in the past year and a half. US troops at the Kharab al Jir base, Patrol Base Shaddadi, and Rumalyn Landing Zone bases, as well as US troops stationed in the Ghuweiran district in Hasakah province, were attacked with “several Iranian missiles” between June 14-15, Asharq al Awsat reported. All of the missiles were intercepted, and no US casualties have been reported. A US defense official with knowledge of the region would neither confirm nor deny the reports of attacks on US personnel by Iran-backed militias ( Long War Journal).

A Victory for Reality: Supreme Court Upholds Tennessee Law Protecting Minors From “Gender Transition” Treatment
“A landmark victory for children’s health.” Alliance Defending Freedom: In a landmark victory for children’s health and science-based medicine, the U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday upheld Tennessee’s law protecting minors from harmful and life-altering drugs and surgeries. The ruling will help protect 26 similar state laws and return common sense to America’s medical system. “No one has the right to harm a child,” said ADF CEO and President Kristen Waggoner. “The Biden administration and ACLU asked the court to create a ‘constitutional right’ to give children harmful, experimental drugs and surgeries that turn them into patients for life. This would have forced states to base their laws on ideology, not evidence—to the immense harm of countless children. The court’s rejection of that request is a monumental victory for children, science, and common sense. States are free to protect children from the greatest medical scandal in generations—and that’s exactly what states like Tennessee have done” ( ADF). The case—U.S. v. Skrmetti—was decided by a 6-3 majority: the justices rejected an argument by three transgender teens (along with their parents and a Memphis doctor) that the law violates their constitutional right to equal protection and should be scrutinized using a more stringent standard than the one used by a federal appeals court in Cincinnati… Tennessee’s legislature passed the law, known as SB1, in 2023. SB1 emphasizes that the state has a “legitimate, substantial, and compelling interest in encouraging minors to appreciate their sex, particularly as they undergo puberty.” It prohibits (as relevant here) the use of puberty blockers and hormone therapy for transgender teens while allowing the use of the same treatments for other purposes. ( SCOTUS Blog). Chloe Cole—one of the exceptionally courageous de-transitioners who has become a vocal activist: My heart is overflowing with gratitude. Every child in America is now safer. Thank you to The State of Tennessee, the parents who never backed down, and every detransitioner who shared the truth. This victory is ours! ( Cole).

Senate Holds Hearings on Biden’s Cognitive Decline
The hearing was co-chaired by Missouri’s two GOP Senators—Eric Schmitt and Josh Hawley. Red State: titled “Unfit to Serve: How the Biden Cover-Up Endangered America and Undermined the Constitution,” was designed to ask and address critical questions related to who knew what and when during Biden’s sole term as president, it was for the most part boycotted by Democrat Senators and their staffers…. Missouri’s two GOP Senators, Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, came loaded for bear, with Hawley dropping receipts on what Democrats on up to then-Vice President Kamala Harris were saying about Biden at the time and wondering where they are now that new books are imploding the Democrat/media-spun narrative about Biden being fit to serve another four years in office ( Red State). New York Post: Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee skewered Democrats for burying their heads in the sand once again over the question of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline by skipping a hearing about the alleged abuse of the aging president’s autopen authority. “Not a single Democrat is here today because not a single one of them gives a damn about the fact that they lied to the American people for four years,” erupted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). “They knew. Every one of them knew that Joe Biden was mentally not competent to do the job,” he added. “And they’re not here because they can’t defend themselves ( New York Post).

Slaughter of Christians in Nigeria; “The bloodiest massacre on record”
Islamist Fulanis massacred some 200 Christians in central Nigeria. World: Residents say the armed Fulani terrorists staged a coordinated attack: One group first entered the western part of Yelwata and began shooting. Then, another group of attackers entered through the village’s eastern borders. State authorities initially said at least 59 people died, but residents in the region have placed the death toll at 200 and possibly higher. More than 6,000 others are now displaced… Many of the victims were internally displaced people—or IDPs—who had sought refuge in the town after fleeing destruction from past attacks in their own communities. The attackers opened fire on their victims and also set fire to the homes and market stalls where many IDPs were sleeping for the night ( World). Genocide Watch: This mass killing is part of a disturbing wave of targeted violence that has swept across central Nigeria in recent weeks…. The horrific scale of the massacre of Catholics in Nigeria drew a reaction from a Catholic religious freedom advocate in Washington, Jacqueline Halbig von Schleppenbach. “All accounts of those on the ground note that this is the bloodiest massacre on record. The military was aware this was happening and did nothing!” von Schleppenbach texted to TruthNigeria. “They did not show up until the massacre ended,” she continued. “The time is now for the Trump administration to name Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) and for the US Congress to pass H.R. 220 in support of the State Department’s CPC previous designation,” according to von Schleppenbach, Principal Consultant Sovereign Global Solutions, LLC, a public affairs firm focusing on international religious freedom and human rights ( Genocide Watch).

At Last: British PM Keir Starmer Announces Inquiry Into Grooming Gangs Scandal
“The public still have no idea the true scale of this rape jihad.” The announcement from the liberal Labor Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been met with relief—but the scandal has been going on for decades. Starmer himself—even in recent days—mocked those who were concerned: In January, Starmer accused politicians calling for such an inquiry of jumping on the “bandwagon of the far right”. Robust debate, he said, “can only be based on the true facts”. But the facts today are as they were six months ago; as they have been for years. Thousands of vulnerable girls have been groomed and raped by groups of men, disproportionately of Pakistani heritage ( New Statesman). Conservative activist Tommy Robinson who has been relentless on this issue: I never wanted to be in a position of saying I told you so. I came out of prison all guns blazing after 7 months in solitary and in all honesty it’s hit me & I feel wrecked … whatever any of us have gone through it is nothing in comparison to what so many of Britain’s daughters were subjected to . The public still have no idea the true scale of this rape jihad. Well done to every brave survivor who told their stories & continue to fight for justice. This rape scandal is darkest stain ever on Britain ( Robinson). The Week: “It is hard to describe the appalling nature of the abuse that child victims suffered,” noted Alexis Jay’s 2014 inquiry report into abuse in Rotherham. “They were raped by multiple perpetrators, trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten and intimidated.” Children were “doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened [that] they would be next if they told anyone. Girls as young as 11 were raped by large numbers of male perpetrators” ( The Week). The critical race theory thinking that allowed it all to continue: Call it “woke”, call it what you like, but the essence of this mode of thinking that was too common among liberals was that white people are the oppressors, while ethnic minorities are the victims ( Spectator).

Californians Passed a Tough-on-Crime Proposition: Newsom Doesn’t Want to Fund It
San Francisco Standard: California voters overwhelmingly approved a tough-on-crime ballot measure in the November election, but it still lacks hundreds of millions of dollars in funding as state legislators and Gov. Gavin Newsom battle over how to finance the new law. Proposition 36, which passed with more than 68% of the vote statewide, gives prosecutors more authority to charge certain drug- and theft-related crimes as felonies and allows judges to mandate treatment for some offenders. Those who backed the measure, including a bipartisan group of local and state lawmakers, sought somewhere between $250 million and $400 million in state funding this year to implement the law, which took effect in December. Newsom rejected that request in his nearly $322 billion May budget proposal, arguing that it is up to local officials who supported the measure to find the money as the state grapples with a projected $12 billion deficit. Newsom’s refusal to fund Prop. 36 comes after he openly opposed the measure during the election over concerns that it would drive up incarceration rates. “The state is not the only spigot,” Newsom said last month. “There were a lot of supervisors in the county that promoted it. So this is their opportunity to step up, fund it. There were city mayors that supported it. It’s their opportunity to step up, fund it” ( San Francisco Standard). Kevin Kiley: First, Newsom tried to remove our initiative to make crime illegal again from the ballot. He failed. Then, he led the campaign against it. He failed again. Now, he’s trying to overturn the will of voters by refusing to fund it. Rest assured, he will fail yet again ( Kiley).

Senate Full Steam Ahead on Big, Beautiful Bill
Axios: Senate GOP leadership is full steam ahead on passing the “one big, beautiful bill” next week and giving House Speaker Mike Johnson an outside chance to put it on President Trump’s desk by July 4. It’s an aggressive timeline of their own making, and there are a lot of angsty lawmakers. But Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) is sticking to the plan, for now. Thune told reporters Wednesday his plan is to bring the bill to the floor mid-next week, and they are “making good headway” on ensuring key parts are approved by the parliamentarian and Byrd bath. But Thune is also facing early backlash from the House, where GOP leadership feels blindsided by the changes to Medicaid — and uncertain whether the new version could pass the chamber, as Punchbowl reported ( Axios). Stephen Moore on the good, the bad and the ugly: The Good: • Restores the $10,000 SALT cap – as opposed to the preposterous $40,000 cap in the House bill.• Makes almost all 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent, including capital expensing provisions, school choice tax credits, and opportunity zones. • Limits the remittances tax to cash transactions rather than the House approach that snared bank transactions – which would inhibit foreign investment in the U.S….…the Bad and Ugly: • No cut in corporate tax rate (Trump wanted 15%). • Cuts the tax on earnings from university endowments to only 8% versus 21% in the House bill… (via John Hinderaker at Powerline).
