Team -- it’s LaMonica McIver. Last month, the Trump administration brought charges against me because I was doing my job as a member of Congress. Now, I’ve been officially indicted.
Let me be clear: under the law, members of Congress are explicitly authorized to conduct oversight at ICE facilities. I was there to do my job and make sure that this administration isn’t abusing people’s rights. And I was charged and now indicted.
