Friend,
The GOP’s big, ugly budget is deeply unpopular and dangerous. And to no surprise, most Republicans are avoiding their districts and accountability. The ones who do show up are having a hard time defending their decision to rip away Medicaid from millions of Americans.
GOP Sen. Joni Ernst’s constituents told her that these cuts would kill them. Her response was, “Well, we are all going to die.” She later filmed a video of herself walking through a cemetery, doubling down on her statement and mocking her constituents. While she is correct that we all die eventually, it shouldn’t be because of the Republicans’ disastrous budget bill. This may be old-fashioned, but our government’s goal should not be to hasten the deaths of Americans.
On top of this, at least one Republican, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, openly admitted she didn’t even read the whole bill before voting on it.
This bill has the largest cut to healthcare in U.S. history. It is a disgusting betrayal of the American people. A betrayal that is going to lead to American deaths.
I will never stop speaking out for the everyday families who are going to be hurt by this big, ugly budget. Will you join me in the fight against the GOP’s shameful bill? <[link removed]>

Ted
