At last, we are reimagining policing systems that have taken too many Black lives for too long. “Love harnesses our rage,” Valarie Kaur writes. Anger serves a very important purpose: it protects those whom we love.

The ongoing protests are just one way that our anger manifests itself and one action that can make change. But protests alone are not the solution.
