On Sunday night, Trump posted on social media that he wanted stepped-up immigration operations “in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York [because] These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base [and] cheat in Elections.”

Donald Trump’s attack on free and fair elections took a dark turn this week. On Sunday night, Trump posted on social media that he wanted stepped-up immigration operations “in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York [because] These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base [and] cheat in Elections.”
Let’s be clear: Trump isn’t targeting these cities because of immigration. He is looking to cripple them as a source of the opposition party’s political power. That is why he called them a “power center,” and it is why he connects them to elections. Trump is laying the groundwork to misuse the federal government to undermine free and fair elections.
