Jamaal pointed out that the US government spends trillions to fund wars overseas and cuts taxes for the wealthiest americans. But where is the investment in our most precious resource - our children and young adults? 

Jamaal's experience as a principal and educator will help him create legislation that ends the overtesting of students and focuses on progressive pedagogy, the same techniques that made the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action, which he founded, so successful. 

We need an advocate for the people of the 16th district, not a 30 year incumbent who takes thousands of dollars in donations from defense contractors and supported one of the most catastrophic wars of the 21st century.
