This Is Not Our War: Congress Must Block U.S. Military Involvement in Israel’s Assault on Iran

Last week, Israel launched a massive, unprovoked assault on Iran, killing over 220 people, including civilians, scientists, and government officials. These strikes, timed to destroy U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations, have pushed the region to the brink of full-scale war. And now, President Trump is threatening to drag the United States deeper into this reckless conflict.

This is not our war! If Trump wants one, he must come to Congress.

TAKE ACTION: DEMAND CONGRESS SUPPORT THE WAR POWERS RESOLUTION

Representatives Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) have announced they will introduce a bipartisan War Powers Resolution this week to block unauthorized U.S. military involvement in Israel’s war on Iran. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.) has announced he will file a parallel resolution in the Senate. It’s vital that we do our part and remind our elected officials that they represent us, not Israel. We must urge them to support these resolutions.

Congress must act to prevent escalation, protect American lives, and finally stop Israel from dictating U.S. foreign policy.

This is a war of choice, not necessity. Israel’s attack derailed active U.S.-Iran nuclear diplomacy—talks that aimed to prevent war. The American people do not want another endless war in the Middle East.

Supporting this resolution:

1. Upholds Article I of the Constitution, which gives Congress—not the President—the sole authority to declare war.
2. Blocks the use of U.S. forces unless there is explicit congressional approval.
3. Prevents U.S. troops from dying for Israel’s aggression.
4. Keeps the U.S. focused on diplomacy, not war.

Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, invaded Lebanon, and is now attacking Iran. Israel’s reckless attacks on the people it occupies and across the Middle East using American weapons to commit war crimes must be stopped. We must demand an end to U.S. complicity and reassert civilian control over the declaration of war.

Call and email your Members of Congress, and urge your friends and family to do the same. Tell them: NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL.
