John,
The Supreme Court just handed down a devastating ruling for trans rights.
In United States v. Skrmetti , the Court upheld Tennessee's bans on gender-affirming care , stripping trans people - particularly trans youth - of access to the healthcare they need to survive. This is a direct attack on our community. And it won’t stop here.
We’ve warned that the right to privacy and bodily autonomy - two rights protected by Roe - are under siege. Today, those warnings became reality. Bigots spent years passing hateful laws to target trans people, hoping they’d land at this Court. Now they’ve succeeded.
We cannot wait for the courts to protect our rights. Ironically, as Justice Roberts said in the opinion, "We leave questions regarding its policy to the people, their elected representatives, and the democratic process." He's very clear: to protect LGBTQ+ rights, we must elect LGBTQ+ leaders. Rush a donation now to elect pro-equality champions at every level of government! [[link removed]]

We know our candidates are defending LGBTQ+ rights. They’re protecting access to healthcare. They’re passing legislation ensuring LGBTQ+ can get married, and who can be out at work. They’re ensuring our stories are allowed in schools.
If we don’t act now, more of our rights will disappear. Justice Thomas has already called for the Court to revisit Obergefell . There are more cases coming on conversion therapy and on LGBTQ+ books in schools. Attacks on birth control and marriage equality are next.
We need leaders who will fight like hell to protect us. We need LGBTQ+ lawmakers in every statehouse, city council, and in Congress, leaders who will block hate-based bills before they ever reach a judge.
Help us build pro-equality majorities everywhere. Help us elect the LGBTQ+ candidates who will fight for our freedom. Donate now to LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ+ candidates. [[link removed]]
