Dear Team,

On Saturday, June 14, an extremist shot and killed a Minnesota state legislator and wounded another, both staunch supporters of social justice and abortion rights. The attacker's hit list also included abortion providers and advocates.

Just last week, members of Congress continued their push to repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act—the only federal law that protects reproductive health clinics and places of worship from violence and harassment.

We grieve for all those impacted by this targeted violence, and we are thankful all our clients in the area are safe... but repealing the FACE Act now gives a green light to those that would do providers harm.

Congress passed the FACE Act with strong bi-partisan support to protect reproductive health care clinics, staff, and patients in the wake of violence and blockades used by anti-abortion extremists in the 1990s. As we face a new wave of threats, the FACE Act must be enforced and strengthened, NOT repealed.

Right now, your advocacy is urgently needed. Please, contact your representatives and demand they defend the FACE Act.

In the reproductive rights movement, we are tragically familiar with politically motivated violence meant to scare us out of exercising our rights and intimidate us. We will not be silenced.

In solidarity,
