Today we celebrate, but the fight continues

Real talk, we are #HereToStay and we will continue to show up and fight for justice for Black people everywhere, all immigrants and all people of color. Today, the Supreme court ruled in favor of immigrants. This means DACA will remain in place giving temporary relief to DACA recipients and their families.

This ruling is a testament to our power as immigrant young people and allies who’ve been fighting this victory for decades. Although our fight is not done, and we will keep fighting for all immigrants, today, we’ve kept nearly 700,000 people protected from deportation!

This moment might seem overwhelming, as immigrant youth ourselves, we totally get it. But we are here to support you. Here’s our latest Top 5 Things You Need to Know:

The fight is not over. Here are two ways you can take action right now to keep our momentum going:

1. While the Supreme Court has indicated that new applications MUST be accepted, we cannot know for sure whether DHS will accept new applications until they release guidance and make an announcement.
