At 50CAN, we believe that building the future of the education requires elected leaders who serve the public by centering kids’ interests. To that end, we’re focused on supporting committed public servants with the knowledge, relationships and practical tools they need to turn bold ideas into law.

Today, I’m excited to announce that applications are open for the third cohort of the 50CAN Action Fund's Education Policymakers Fellowship. Over the summer and fall of 2025, a select group of state and local lawmakers will:

• Gather twice in person. All travel and lodging costs covered within applicable ethics rules.
• Join concise virtual sessions that respect busy legislative calendars.
• Work 1:1 with 50CAN policy and advocacy experts to craft ready-to-file legislation and an advocacy strategy for the 2026 session.
