Friend --

Big news: the US Supreme Court ruled earlier this morning that DACA -- the program that protects immigrants brought to the United States as children from deportation -- is here to stay.

This will help protect the 7,400 DACA recipients here in my district. But our work is not done: DREAMers need a long term solution.

Will you add your name to our petition reaffirming your commitment to protecting Dreamers by creating a pathway to permanent legal status?

One of my proudest moments in Congress was when Dreamers from my district came to advocate for H.R.6, The American Dream and Promise Act -- which provides a pathway to permanent legal status for Dreamers. I remember looking up to the House gallery where I saw them with tears in their eyes when this bill finally passed.

Fresh on the heels of this important SCOTUS victory, let's keep the momentum going and deliver for our Dreamers with permanent legal status.

I will continue standing up to Trump and the Republican Party and pledge to protect immigrants here in California and beyond.

Thanks in advance,

TJ Cox
