Friend,

Originally this note was intended to be a fundraising email. But instead I want to pause my fundraising efforts for today and talk about the Supreme Court decisions released this week.

Make no mistake, the two decisions rendered by the Supreme Court prohibiting LGBTQ discrimination in the workplace and the decision to block Donald Trump from ending the DACA program are monumental for the future of our country. Though I am celebrating these two decisions, our work is FAR from over. In order to continue to protect LGBTQ rights and Dreamers, we MUST win in November. We must beat Donald Trump and we must win the US Senate to remove Mitch McConnell from the helm. That is why I’m going to work my tail off for Joe Biden from today through November 3rd, and it is why I voted for John Hickenlooper for US Senate.

We cannot sit on the sidelines, we cannot let someone else do our work for us, we cannot let our friends and neighbors take a walk on this election no matter who we are supporting in primaries. So, I hope you will join me in fighting every single day from today to November 3rd to win back the White House and the US Senate so we can continue to move forward the values we hold dear here in Colorado and across our great country.
