Team, almost everything this administration does caters to Donald Trump’s ego.

Here’s the bottom line: Trump’s vanity parade distracted from the mission of the Army’s 250th birthday.

We should honor and recognize this anniversary to thank our troops and their families — but there’s a right way and a wrong way to honor our servicemembers.

Trump did it the wrong way — by taking 6,000 soldiers away from their families, away from their training, and away from their mission. It’s a waste of over $50 million in taxpayer dollars. It’s plain wrong.

Unlike Donald Trump, Jason is a veteran who served in the military and in combat. He knows what it takes to protect our country and support those who wear the uniform — and this isn’t it.

Jason believes our service members deserve better, and that $50 million would have been better spent on improving veterans’ health care or living conditions for troops.
