Dear Friend,
Like so many Minnesotans, I am heartbroken and outraged by the terrible attacks that have taken place in our state. These horrific acts of violence are a devastating reminder of how precious life is and how evil must be confronted.
There is absolutely no place for politically-motivated violence in our country. These attacks were not only an assault on innocent individuals and their families, but on the very fabric of our democratic republic. My prayers are with the families of those impacted. May God bring them comfort and strength in the difficult days ahead.
I am grateful to the hundreds of law enforcement officers who worked tirelessly, around the clock, to bring this dangerous manhunt to an end. Their courage and professionalism serve as a powerful example of the best of Minnesota. Now, I pray that justice will be swift and certain — and that the perpetrator will be held fully accountable for these evil and cowardly acts.
