Today's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold DACA affirms protections for those deserving of them.

While there is a clear divide between lawful migration and criminal behavior, the population of DACA youth brought here as children — through no fault of their own — only know the U.S. as their home.

In order to build a stronger community and a better future, we must demand thoughtful and compassionate immigration reform. That's why I support creating a lawful and expeditious pathway to citizenship for DACA recipients.
