If you’re a veteran, the care you’ve earned shouldn’t depend on your beliefs.

But under Donald Trump’s new VA rules, that’s exactly what’s happening. It’s a betrayal of our veterans, and our fundamental values. 

Doctors at VA hospitals can now refuse to treat veterans based on their political affiliation or marital status. That means unmarried veterans, Democrats, and LGBTQ+ service members could be turned away from the care they’ve earned—just because of who they are.

This is a betrayal of those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

This administration is hell-bent on politicizing our most sacred obligation as a country—caring for those who have put their lives on the line for us. It’s unethical. It’s shameful. And it’s a complete betrayal of the oath I took when I served in the U.S. Air Force and when I became a doctor.

I’m doing everything I can to stop this in Congress. But I can’t do it alone. 

We must take back the House and end this chaos and cruelty.
