It’s been a long march through the last three and a half years in America. For many of us, our concerns about a Donald Trump presidency began before he ever took office. For others, the benign hope for a successful administration has been battered and beaten by the daily barrage of hatred, corruption and embarrassments coming from the Oval Office. Regardless of the personal journey that brought us to this fight, we are here together, united in the knowledge that there are deep problems in our politics, and that the country we love needs us to fight for it.

Those problems extend far deeper than one person, or even one political party. They reach into the very fabric of our society, causing the division, animosity, and prejudices which some opportunistic politicians are happy to exploit for their own profit and power. It is our duty to root out divisive political figures, and expose the fault lines in our democracy on which they thrive.

That work is even more urgent with elections approaching — that's why we need your help by donating today, John.

John, as a member of the Stand Up Republic community, you’ve already been an integral part of that fight, and you’ve already won some important battles.

Dana Rohrabacher, who even Republicans joked worked for Putin, was defeated thanks to our work. Roy Moore, a pedophile and bigot, was defeated in his bid for the US Senate after we became the largest outside spender in his race. And Steve King, who has openly defended white supremacy, was finally defeated this year after Stand Up Republic’s opposition in 2018 and 2020.

These three politicians represented the very worst traits that have infected our politics, and their defeat was America’s victory. But the fight for a more just nation that respects the rule of law and honors equality is far from won. This November may well be our biggest test, and we need all hands on deck. 

The truth is, the flames of liberty and democracy require constant tending. But freedom in America is dwindling before our eyes, and if we don’t stand up for our ideals, norms and institutions in November, we may be too late to undo the damage. Can we count on you in this fight?
