Folks, extreme Republicans are still trying to limit women’s freedom and eliminate access to abortion. We want to take a moment to explain how – and what John Hickenlooper is doing to fight back.

Even after Colorado voters just overwhelmingly passed a constitutional amendment to enshrine reproductive freedom in our state’s Constitution, anti-choice extremists are threatening to invoke the Comstock Act, a centuries-old law that could effectively ban abortion nationwide. And with Trump’s return to the White House, that threat has only grown.

That’s why John joined with his colleagues in the Senate to introduce the Stop Comstock Act , which repeals the outdated legislation and protects women’s access to reproductive care.

John is fighting to take this archaic law off the books because he knows extreme politicians and dust-covered laws from 1873 have no business dictating a woman’s freedom to make her own health care decisions.

Passing this bill is critical to protecting reproductive health care nationwide.
