Today is Primary Day in Virginia and Emerge women are on the frontlines.

From local leadership to statewide office, five Emerge Virginia alums are on the ballot in competitive primaries today, including Shannon Taylor, who’s running for Attorney General.

They are part of a wave of leadership reshaping Virginia:

• Emerge Virginia alums make up 17% of the House of Delegates and 12.5% of the State Senate.
• Emerge women are running in 35% of House races this year, with 17 incumbents and 18 challengers.
• Every single alum currently serving in the House is running for re-election.

The candidates on the ballot in Virginia today are more than politicians. They are our next attorneys general, delegates, and local champions.
