Our nation was built on the ideal that all people are created equal. While that promise hasn’t always been honored, we have a responsibility to fight for a future where equality truly means equality for all.

That’s why I’m proud to be an original co-sponsor of the Equality Act, to ensure that sexual orientation and gender identity are protected under the Civil Rights Act. And I will continue to stand against the Trump administration’s dangerous attacks on the LGBTQ+ community.

I believe in a more just, inclusive America — one where everyone can live authentically and freely.
