Dear Friend,

We need your help.

Please call Governor Ned Lamont at (860) 566-4840 and urge him to veto HB 5002.

HB 5002 is a sweeping housing mandate that strips towns of local zoning control forcing dense, multi-unit development into small communities through unfunded mandates and by tying state funding to municipal housing targets.

This bill, if signed into law, will have a devastating impact on our state and many towns across Connecticut. It will drive up costs, traffic, and taxes, placing an unfair burden on residents and local communities.

Even many Democrats have spoken out against this bill, warning that HB 5002 will undermine the character and nature of our towns, the very qualities that have made Connecticut such a wonderful place to live and build communities.

Please take a moment to make your voice heard. The Governor needs to know that HB 5002 is not the path forward for Connecticut.

Call now: (860) 566-4840
Office Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Thank you for standing up for our State.

Ben Proto

Chairman, Connecticut Republican Party
