And we need to dial up the pressure

I have an important update to share with you today about the “Big Bad Billionaire Bill,” friend.

Now that the Senate Finance Committee has done its damage ([link removed]) in this cruel budget proposal, the full Senate could hold a floor vote as early as next week.

With several senators still on the fence—especially those in red states benefitting from the same clean energy investments that are on the chopping block—we still have a real shot at getting Republicans to break rank and stop this bill.

But they need to keep feeling the heat. Will you do your part by sending your senators a message today? ([link removed])

Thanks for being in this fight with us.

Subject: URGENT: Senate inches closer to passing its disastrous reconciliation bill

([link removed])

🚨 DEVELOPING: Senate Republicans just released a portion of their disastrous reconciliation proposal, following the House’s lead with a plan that would kill jobs, raise household energy bills, and worsen pollution.

They’re hoping we won't notice their efforts to fast-track the bill, but we’re going to let them know we’re watching—and that we won't stand for this assault on clean energy. Email your senators right now.

TAKE ACTION ([link removed])

Friend—

Over recent days, two key Senate committees have released draft text for portions of the Republicans’ tax megabill—and it’s a gut punch to their constituents.

Like the House’s version we told you about a few weeks ago, their proposals would fully repeal critical investments that are lowering household costs, cleaning up toxic air pollution, and saving lives. And once again, it’s frontline communities—those hit hardest by decades of fossil fuel development and some of the nation’s highest energy burdens—that will pay the steepest price.

This play to rob working families in order to give billionaires massive tax breaks is outright criminal, and we need to make it loud and clear that Congress can’t get away with it. Will you email your senators right now and urge them to vote against the GOP budget bill? ([link removed])

WRITE TO YOUR SENATORS ([link removed])

The American people want clean air, lower bills, and healthier communities. This bill would eliminate one of our most effective tools for curbing harmful methane pollution, letting corporate polluters off the hook for worsening climate-fueled disasters and increasing health risks. The attack on Clean Air Act pollution standards, for one, would both increase smog on our streets and increase costs by $600 over the lifetime of new vehicles.

If this budget bill passes and gets signed by Trump, then everyday working Americans are going to lose more of their hard-earned money just so billionaires can get richer.

As we get closer to a final vote, there’s still time for our Senators to do the right thing. Send them a message right now and demand they oppose this disastrous budget bill. ([link removed])
