In 2023, Ohioans made their voices heard — loudly and clearly. Across rural towns and big cities, across party lines and ideologies, voters came together and chose to enshrine reproductive rights in our state constitution.
It was one of the most powerful, democratic moments in our state’s history. And now, less than two years later, Republican lawmakers are trying to erase it.
They’ve introduced legislation that would:
🔴 Ban abortion, with criminal penalties and even homicide charges
🔴 Threaten access to IVF and other fertility treatments
🔴 Restrict forms of contraception that Ohioans depend on
Let’s call this what it is: an outrageous attempt to override the will of the people.
It’s clear that some politicians didn’t like the outcome of the election — so now they’re trying to go around the voters entirely. That’s not just wrong. It’s dangerous.
As the Democratic Leader of the Ohio House, I’m leading the charge to stop these attacks. Our caucus is united in putting people over politics — and protecting the reproductive freedom that Ohioans already voted to guarantee.
We are standing up for our democracy, for the rule of law, and for every family who deserves the freedom to make decisions about their own bodies and futures without government interference.
