[[link removed]] It is hard to believe a State representative and her spouse were assassinated in Minnesota, and an attempt was made on a State senator and his spouse.
Protect Minnesota Executive Director Maggiy Emery stated, “ Speaker Hortman was our partner in working to prevent gun violence on this state. We’ve lost not only a compassionate, kind, smart leader but also the person whose drive and conviction allowed to pass lifesaving legislation in this state. We are shattered by this violent loss and committed to working all the harder to end the public health crisis. Today is yet another day of mourning for our state and country because of gun violence.”
States United Executive Director, Jeremy Stein, commented "This is not the America our founding fathers envisioned. Gun Violence in any form cannot be tolerated, but particularly egregious against people for political gain. We call that terrorism." Jeremy is currently in the "under curfew" zone of Los Angeles, where armed forces, including the national guard and local police were mobilized to confront Americans exercising their Constitutional rights to free speech and protest, earlier last week. That kind of armed response is also hard to believe.
