A NOTE FROM CHRISSY
I VOTED "NO" ON THE REPUBLICAN BUDGET BILL
Republicans in Congress just passed their so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which I, along with every single House Democrat, voted against. We tried to stop it by offering an endless stream of amendments in a 22-hour session. And we tried to stop it by urging, behind the scenes, our GOP colleagues to oppose it. This bill cuts SNAP, Medicaid, Pell benefits, and more for low-income Americans while making the rich even richer. The bill is now in the Senate, so we’ve turned our attention there, and I hope you will, too. If you haven’t already, please contact your Senators to urge them to vote no. This is far from a done deal, and your calls matter.
HONORING THE JAN. 6 OFFICERS
In 2022, Congress passed a law with bipartisan support to place a bronze plaque honoring the police officers who defended us and the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Congressional Republicans refuse to comply, and the reason they give, behind the scenes, is they are scared of angering President Trump. During Police Week this year, I joined my colleagues in a press conference to highlight GOP inaction and cowardice. A bronze plaque is a simple thing, but what it represents is everything.
COFFEE WITH CONSTITUENTS & TOWN HALLS
One of my favorite parts of the job is hearing directly from members of our PA-06 community – whether it's comments or questions about what’s happening here locally or what's happening down in Washington. I held my 99th town hall last week and will be hosting my 100th soon. My office also recently held another Coffee with Constituents, a mobile office hour style event where we are available in different communities, and are doing another one soon. We aim to do both town halls and Coffees with Constituents monthly.
CONGRESSIONAL APP CHALLENGE
I'm excited to share that our 2025 Congressional App Challenge is now live. In full support of STEM education, each year, we challenge students in our districts to create and submit their original apps to be put on display in the U.S. Capitol building. This challenge is a nationwide event, open to students of all experience levels throughout our district. Learn how you can participate by visiting [link removed].

BIPARTISAN LEGISLATION SUPPORTING PUBLIC SERVANTS
Last month, I hosted a roundtable discussion with local law enforcement officers and first responders focused on recruitment, retention, public service, and funding challenges they face. I reintroduced thePublic Service Loan Forgiveness Payment Completion Fairness Act, with Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), to close loopholes and simplify student loan forgiveness for all public servants.
RESEARCH ADVANCING TO MARKET PRODUCTION FOR INNOVATORS ACT
I'm proud to share that I reintroduced the bipartisan Research Advancing to Market Production (RAMP) for Innovators Act – a bill that would help innovative small businesses commercialize their technical counterparts. Not only would this legislation streamline federal support for American small businesses, it would also allow entrepreneurs to accelerate the timeline to bring their products to market to ensure our innovative entrepreneurs can succeed.
Thank you for your support, John.
There's work to be done,
Chrissy
