I know things seem tough right now.

Every day we're reading stories about the Trump administration's efforts to change who we are as a country.

Every day we're seeing Republicans in Washington, D.C. try to mislead about the true intent of their efforts because they know they are terribly unpopular.

So what can we do?

First, please take heart.

The lessons on how to fight back can be found in what we did in Trump's first administration – the one place we say with a straight face that the country rose up, communicated, and succeeded was on the one thing he is trying to do today:

We fought back on his attempt to take away our health care.

Trump tried to repeal Obamacare. He ran on it. He was obsessed with it. And not only do we still have it, we expanded it.

How was that? Because we educated people – normal people who don't have time to doom-scroll or watch cable news.

We did that. And I want you to keep that in your mind because that is what we must do now.

It's what I am trying to do in rallies and town halls across Michigan and in content that reaches people nationally.

But I need your help to continue that work, because there are costs associated with those efforts, and obviously, we spent down our fundraising in order to win the election.
