Dreamers are our family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and most importantly they are Americans — we must stay committed to fighting for them and their families.
Last June, I joined Democrats in the House to pass the American Dream and Promise Act to shield Dreamers and TPS holders from deportation and create an opportunity for permanent legal status. More than a year later the legislation is still sitting on Leader McConnell’s desk in the Senate.
Republicans need to stop playing politics and bring this legislation up for a vote.
That is why we need your help. The more Democrats we elect, the better chance we have of protecting our nation's Dreamers.
