In Elections, Transparency Fosters Trust |
Since 1989, The Carter Center has been a pioneer of election observation, forging many of the techniques now common to the field. In 2024, the Center worked with local organizations in three states to observe the general election and help improve public confidence in the U.S. voting system. |

The 78th World Health Assembly passed an historic "Accelerating the Eradication of Dracunculiasis (Guinea worm disease) Resolution" ensuring that Guinea worm remains on track to be the second human disease, after smallpox, to be eradicated. |
