Hi John xxxxxx,
As abortion bans swept the nation after the fall of Roe v. Wade, there is only one remaining safe haven state for abortion access in the South: Virginia.
The Trump administration has already announced federal policies that put women’s lives and well-being in danger, so we will be looking to state governments to defend us. This year, all eyes are on Virginia’s elections as the state currently has an extremely slim 1-vote margin in favor of abortion access in its legislature. We’re writing today because Virginia’s primary elections are happening TODAY.
We need to move quickly: Help our qualified endorsed candidates reach as many voters as possible TODAY by rushing a split contribution of $20.25 or more today →
Here is a look at our endorsed candidates who will be in the most consequential races TODAY:
✅ Lt. Gov. candidate Ghazala Hashmi – Senator Hashmi helped draft Virginia’s constitutional amendment protecting safe and legal abortion, and served as a Chief Co-Patron for the legislation. She is the only woman in a seven-candidate primary, and is the most experienced legislator in the race.
✅ May Nivar – Running for a seat that has been named the TOP pickup opportunity for securing a pro-choice majority in Virginia. Her opponent, the Republican incumbent, passed zero bills during his 2025 legislative session, and an independent analysis by the Virginia Public Access Project found him to be the least effective legislator in Virginia.
He has said he would like to see abortion become illegal in Virginia and has repeatedly voted against commonsense gun safety policies, paid medical leave, lower prescription drug costs, and more...
✅ Shannon Jones – Running for Commonwealth Attorney – Newport News, VA. It has been 35 years – more than 3 DECADES – since Shannon’s incumbent opponent has even had to campaign/appeal to voters. No one has run against him in 35 years! Shannon is highly qualified to take on his position, and is the first woman to be listed as a candidate on the ballot for the job.
With reproductive healthcare access under dire threat, a Republican frontrunner for Governor who wants to ELIMINATE abortion access in the state, and a 1-vote margin in the State Legislature, the stakes could not be higher.
These candidates are facing competitive primaries TODAY and, in many cases, are falling behind their male opponents in fundraising. Help ensure these candidates have the funds they’ll need to reach voters in these final hours by rushing a split donation immediately.
Together,
Colleen Davis
