** Hello, friends.
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Since we last wrote you, we’ve seen widespread protest across the US as millions have taken to the streets demonstrating against the Trump administration, ICE, and their “mass deportation” operations. As protests have ramped up and spread for the last week, we’ve published new reports and analysis from anti-ICE demos in Chicago ([link removed]) and Austin ([link removed]) , a Spanish translation from Los Angeles ([link removed]) , and an Uprising Survival Guide ([link removed]) .
“The present moment demands an intelligent, tactically sharp, strategically clear street force capable of blocking the deportation machine in conjunction with the uprising in Los Angeles, so that the sparks can spread ([link removed]) to dozens of other cities and towns…”

** Reinforcing the frontlines

We’ve expanded our Demonstrator’s Guides series ([link removed]) with a detailed new article on the various approaches to constructing and using reinforced banners and shields.
During periods of ongoing, evolving and escalating demonstrations, tactical developments by protestors or police can quickly change the contexts, disrupting patterns or roadblocks that emerge. As any athlete can tell you, for maximum power, strength and flexibility should go hand in hand. In this guide, the authors share insights from iterating their banner design to make them strong, lightweight and mobile.
Reinforced banners and shields can be merely defensive tools, but in practice they have a wide variety of applications: “What reinforced banners bring to the table is their size and their physical and organizational power.” And as we’ve written about previously, the paradoxical reality is that the front ([link removed]) of a demonstration can be the safest.

Around the country this weekend, people distributed thousands of copies of this flier ([link removed]) inviting people demonstrating against the Trump administration to recognize the rise of fascism for what it is and respond accordingly. A shareable digital version of this text can be found at The Now Times ([link removed]) newsletter.
** Circulations

** What We’re Doing
------------------------------------------------------------
All of our projects are copyright free. We distribute them for free, or else, where that is impossible, sell print versions for the costs of production and delivery alone. We do this work freely, without seeking financial compensation. The future of our species and of all life on earth is more important to each of us than turning a profit at others’ expense. True wealth is collective, not individualistic.
If you want to help us expand the scope of our efforts, you can support our projects financially ([link removed]) . But the most important thing right now is to form networks that are capable of mutual aid, collective defense, and transformative revolutionary change. Find people who share your desire for a better world and practice taking action ([link removed]) together.
