Your questions, answered 👇 What is the SAS Ball? Is it like a traditional 'Ball'?
The SAS Ball is a vibrant one-day celebration hosted by Surfers Against Sewage, taking place on 5th July atop the stunning cliffs of St Agnes, Cornwall.
But this isn’t your typical ‘Ball’. Spread across three lively stages, the event has more of a festival feel, with live music, incredible bands, DJs, inspiring speakers, and delicious food and drink.

I've been to SAS Balls back in the day (and they were epic)—am I too old to come to this one?
No one is ‘too old’ to attend the Ball! There will be people of all ages and hundreds of ‘old-time Ballers’ have already got their tickets.
While the creativity, heritage and vibe of the original SAS Balls will remain, there will also be a quiet space, tea tent, and plenty of areas to sit down and chill out. If you’ve been before and loved it, you won’t want to miss this!

Is it family friendly?
Absolutely! We already have hundreds of kids attending and the Ball site is set up for family fun with educational stalls, activities, talks, food trucks and quiet areas. All children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Do I need to be a surfer or involved in SAS to come?
No, you don’t! There will be a real mix of attendees, some with connections to SAS and many who are new to the crew. And you definitely don't need to surf to be part of our community.
So whether you’re coming for the music, the vibes, or because you’re curious about Ocean Activism—we’ll be welcoming you with open arms.

What kind of music will there be?
The SAS Ball will see a carefully selected mix of legendary bands, local artists and vibing DJs. Some highlights include:
Dreadzone: An epic fusion of dub, reggae and electronica from the Southwest’s finest, who last took the roof off the Ball in 2005. A Blaze of Feather: Dreamy, cinematic folk-rock from legendary surf photographer Mickey Smith and friends. FLETCHR FLETCHR: This band fuse deep, soulful vocals with gliding harmonies—creating a bold indie sound. The Oggymen: Cornwall’s favourite sea shanty crew, bringing heartfelt harmonies and proper local soul. Abbie Piper: Singer songwriter, original material and soulful vocals from one of Cornwall’s rising stars.
