My favorite part about my birthday is that it lands on the same day as Flag Day, and every year I celebrate another trip around the sun in the US of A. As a first-generation American, this holiday is really special to me.

Unfortunately, I also share my birthday with Donald Trump, who instead celebrated himself and charged our great country $130 million of taxpayer money for a military parade while also slashing things like Medicaid and cancer research to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

We are undoubtedly in a dark moment, and we have a plan to beat Trump and his MAGA enablers. 

The way out of this moment is to engage like never before in every community and Colorado Democrats are leading the nation.

Two weeks ago we held our 2nd annual DemFest, where over 1,200 people came together to get energized, organize, meet candidates and elected officials, and learn how to get involved in their communities. CDP is also taking on two major projects:

• We’re launching a new, first of its kind organizing program that will re-write how we engage in this state, modernizing our organizing for the first time in years through some cutting edge tech. 

• We’re also redesigning and rebuilding our CDP platform to be clearer, actionable, and to speak more concisely about what Democrats are for.
