John,

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to engage in debates on some of the biggest platforms in the country — from college campuses to national television — defending the pro-life position and challenging the culture of death.

I recently went to the University of California, Irvine to debate Destiny, a social media influencer and political commentator/debater. When we received last-minute news that he was not going to be there due to an issue with his flight, I stayed and engaged in debate with some of the students.

You can watch the recording of the event here, and I hope it will encourage and equip you in your own conversations: liveaction.org/the-ultimate-abortion-debate-lila-rose-at-uc-irvine ([link removed] )

Engaging in respectful debates can provide a powerful avenue for connection and awakening, and it doesn’t have to be in front of a crowd to make a real difference.

Engaging in debates is not about winning arguments — it’s about changing hearts and minds. It’s about truly listening to people, enabling them to feel safe enough to listen to you.

When we take the time to engage with others, especially those who disagree with us, we’re planting seeds of truth that can grow into real transformation.

But it’s not just about what we say — it’s also how we say it.

Pro-life apologetics must be done with clarity, courage, and compassion. We are advocating for the most vulnerable — preborn children — and we must also remember the deep wounds and pain that many carry from abortion. We’re not here to shame or condemn — we’re here to speak the truth in love and offer hope.

Respectful discourse is essential to the pro-life cause, and everyone who knows the truth about abortion needs to be equipped and brave enough to advocate for preborn babies, whether at the dinner table or on a debate stage.

One of Live Action’s main goals is to help give you the tools needed to confidently speak up for the most vulnerable among us. I hope this video gives you encouragement in your own efforts to save babies from abortion and build a culture that cherishes life.

For Life,

P.S. Did you know Live Action has an entire “Pro-Life Replies” video series? We take the most common pro-abortion arguments and give you the pro-life reply. Check out our latest video, “Do Pro-Life Laws Hurt Women?,” and all our previous videos here. ([link removed] )
