Michael Madigan, once the most powerful politician in Illinois, has finally been sentenced: 7.5 years in federal prison and a $2.5 million fine for trading public power for personal gain.

He ruled Illinois from the shadows for decades, turning the Speaker’s gavel into a weapon. He handpicked candidates, carved the political map to favor his allies, and made utility deals that padded pockets while families faced rising bills.

The judge called his courtroom lies a “nauseating display of perjury.” But the real nausea? It belongs to every Illinoisan who watched their taxes rise, their schools decline, and their neighbors move away all while Madigan and his machine grew rich.

Now, one chapter has closed. But the book isn’t finished. Madigan’s cronies are still in office. His political maps still stand. And J.B. Pritzker? He turned a blind eye.

That’s why, now more than ever, we all need to give everything we’ve got in order to dismantle this corrupt machine once and for all. 

We’re asking 100 grassroots patriots who are sick of corruption to step forward and donate just $7.50 for every year Madigan will serve, or $75 for every month. This is more than a contribution. It is a declaration that you’ve had enough and that you believe in honest government.
