It’s Clarence, Lauren’s dad. I still remember the day we brought Lauren home, and watching Lauren’s remarkable growth from a curious Girl Scout to a dedicated congresswoman has been the greatest honor. 

Witnessing her passion and tireless work to uplift families in Illinois' 14th District fills me with immense pride, especially this past weekend as we celebrated Father’s Day.

Lauren’s focus has always been clear – it’s about putting people first. She stands for our community, ensuring that we all have access to quality health care, meaningful employment opportunities, and safe neighborhoods where we can flourish.

It hasn't been an easy journey to get to Washington, and there are challenges to come as she works to continue to represent Illinois in the House. In 2018, your invaluable support helped her create history, becoming the youngest Black woman to serve in Congress.

Lauren continues to work tirelessly, addressing critical issues like lowering everyday expenses, boosting maternal health, and safeguarding democratic ideals.
