The Blue Letter: No Kings, No Tyrants, No Trump Parades
You could almost hear the faint echo of fascist failure on the streets of Washington this weekend, had their been enough traffic to make a sound. Donald Trump’s birthday "parade"—an attempted flex of strongman theater—fell flat on its distended, gold-plated face.
Despite all the drunken, Drumpf puffery, the sycophantic hype from his MAGA-mini me’s and wannabe Pinochet pageantry, turnout was, what’s the industry term again? Oh, right, pathetic. The “King” couldn’t even summon enough peasants for sustained applause.
But, while Trump’s ego may have taken a hit, this just fed his rage to keep it goose-stepping on schedule. In fact, his response to his failed fourth-grade-play version of authoritarian military charades was to lash out. Even as his violent fantasies have already, tragically, been converted into marching orders by the brownshirt ordained.
On Truth Social, Trump posted a bonkers screed that wasn’t just autocrat mad libs—but a blueprint for vigilante chaos. He accused blue-state governors like Gavin Newsom and Kathy Hochul of “losing control” (this, from the sloth who passed out at his own parade) and threatened to override them with federal force.
That’s not just the tired rhetoric of pissant pipsqueak feeling the personal weakness we know eats him up inside. It’s the tin-pot totalitarian threatening fascism by failing app, and trying to seize Article I Congressional war powers via meme. It's also a bright green light to the unhinged among his horde—and they are many—to live out his violent fantasies.
Trump is actively inciting rogue action—not just from his cult base, but from the bevy of the forlorn, the feeble, the fanatical—that he’s embedded deep in the government. Trump’s telegraphing a hostile takeover using ICE and law enforcement, encouraging supporters to “gear up,” to view blue cities not as American communities, but as enemy territory filled with those that are less-than-human.
It’s not a dog whistle. It’s training his Rottweilers to bite. And a good number of his adherents who are less than intellectually agile are listening to his message, with horrific results.
This weekend, two Democratic leaders in Minnesota were murdered. While we wait on official investigations, the facts emerging are frightening, the results expected. A man dressed as a police officer, and an avid Trump supporter who’s backed numerous loony right-wing causes, murdered two elected public servants.
Look back at Trump’s Truth Social post again. He viciously targeted “Democrat-run cities.” He elevated vigilante justice. He all but gave permission for the next Timothy McVeigh to act with impunity, with the words he wrote—and repeats on a daily basis.
Much like FoxNews personalities, rotund, incel imbeciles like Senator Mike Lee (R-UT—he tweeted out a joke about the murder, b/c that’s the scum-based organism he is) and many others among the morally lost. Those with think tank titles or talk radio mics who repeat this garbage on a loop without a care. It’s not just stochastic terrorism. It’s violent assault set with an egg timer.
The corporate press, as usual, is asleep at the wheel. They’ll debate crowd sizes, or pretend this is just more “Trump being Trump,” while they bumble around trying to pretend we can’t possibly figure out the motivation here. Yes, it must be some kinda fucking Da Vinci Code it’s so cryptic, how could one ever discover a pattern?
This isn’t 2016. This is a man (thanks Merrick Garland! Feeling good right about now about you abandoned us?) with many guardrails removed, who’s a pissed off, hated, convicted criminal with a grudge and the powers of the United States of America at his disposal. Not an ideal combination.
And this violence-fetishizing he-bot is calling for paramilitary force to crush political opposition. It’s the logical end game of years of dehumanizing rhetoric—not just from Trump. He may be the worst, but Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and many more odious oafs paved the way for Democrats to be "vermin," for Trump to publicly pine for the days when “protesters were carried out on stretchers.”
The results are no longer theoretical. They’re deadly. And they’re happening regularly, you just don’t hear about all the times there is a vicious attack stopped, or *only” one person is hurt or killed. The corporate media won’t even bother to cover something in a super-local rural area that happens in this vein unless it’s a bloodbath.
Did you hear about the guy in Virginia arrested for purposely driving his car into a crowd of No Kings protesters? Probably not, because nobody was hurt or killed.
I could find you five more incidents like this committed by right-wing nuts just this week. Perhaps you remember this [ [link removed] ] from only two months ago?
In yet another infected chapter in America’s untreated wound that’s led to MAGA madness, Cody Balmer—the suspect charged with scaling a security fence at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Mansion, breaking in and lighting a homemade incendiary device [ [link removed] ] in an effort to murder Governor Josh Shapiro and his family—we again see an extremist blueprint for inspiring violence. A concept with which you may not be familiar, but we all should be: Stochastic Terrorism.
This moment demands clarity. There are no neutral corners left. Trump may think like a child playing games, but the results aren’t Space Invaders destroyed, but human lives. He’s been laying the groundwork to dissolve democracy where he can, and deputize violence.
The 12.1 million—yes, an incredible number, which is why we ARE going to win— “No Kings” marchers who showed up this weekend? We weren’t just protesting a failed parade by a feeble fart-in-the-wind-of-a man. We were standing between America and the next authoritarian chapter Trump would like to impose on us.
History will ask what we did when the warning signs were screaming in neon. Let’s answer that question right now.

🛑 No Kings March: Overwhelming Rejection of His Military Pageantry
Millions on the streets – Organizers say over 5 million Americans turned out in more than 2,000 cities nationwide, from Seattle to Miami—even as D.C. itself saw no official protest to highlight the contrast
Local powerhouses emerge – Philadelphia led with an estimated 80,000 marchers, Chicago saw 75,000 gather, while Los Angeles drew around 200,000 protesters—a clear rebuke to the $45 million fall-asleep spectacle in D.C.
Outgunning his own event – In stark contrast, the military parade—featuring over 6,000 troops and 100+ tanks—pulled a far smaller crowd than the tens of thousands in D.C., well short of Trump’s claimed 250,000 turnout
A movement, not a moment – Tech‑driven organizers from the 50501 Movement and Indivisible harnessed encrypted platforms (Signal, Discord, Reddit) to span all 50 states—pointing to a decentralized, enduring movement—not just a one‑day stunt
These figures speak volumes: while Trump’s militarized birthday self-bash fizzled, the No Kings march erupted into the largest single‑day democratic uprising in recent U.S. history—a forceful statement that America isn’t behind a king, and that people power still rules. And it spread across the globes, with marches in Berlin, Porto, Auckland and beyond!
