Right now, families in North Carolina are being put at risk by reckless decisions in Washington and Raleigh.

House Republicans advanced a budget bill that slashes funding for critical services — from food assistance to public education — including the very programs that keep kids fed and families afloat in tough times.

And here in North Carolina, the pain could be doubled.

State lawmakers are considering additional cuts, compounding the blow even further to our schools, health care, and disaster relief. These are life-altering cuts that will affect everyday North Carolinians in the cruelest of ways.

For example, fewer resources for schools like Barwell Road Elementary in Raleigh — where kids count on free meals to get through the day.

So, why are Republicans doing this? To hand billionaires one of the biggest tax breaks in history.

This is a massive transfer of wealth from everyday Americans to the ultra-rich — and it’s coming directly out of the pockets of working families. We NEED to fight back.

I came to Congress to fight for North Carolinians — not to sit by while the wealthy get richer at everyone else’s expense. Will you chip in $10 to help us hold NC-02 and fight to stop these dangerous cuts?
