John, The time for change is now. Across the country, Americans are using their First Amendment rights to march, protest, and call for an end to the systemic racism and injustice that has haunted our nation from its founding. For far too long, our criminal justice system has systematically discriminated against Black Americans. We've allowed abuse by police to go unchecked and must address it immediately. That's why I am supporting legislation introduced by the Congressional Black Caucus called the Justice in Policing Act of 2020 -- it's a critical first step to delivering long-overdue change in our policing justice system. This bill will begin to fundamentally alter the ways our communities are policed. Among the bill's provisions are:

Together, we can finally bring an end to systemic racism and fight for a better future for our nation. Yours, Suzan PO Box 477, Kirkland, WA 98083
