Friends — it’s Pete Buttigieg.
We are living through a time in the life of our country when freedom itself is on the line — and few races will test that more directly than Jon Ossoff’s re-election campaign in Georgia.
I’ll share more in a moment. But if you believe, as I do, that hope can be the consequence of action, one meaningful step you can take today is to support Jon’s campaign using this link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ossoff-em-june25?refcode=Pete
Right now, the same forces working to consolidate total power in Washington have made Jon their top Senate target. They’re prepared to spend whatever it takes to replace Jon with someone who will help them undermine the freedom of working people. They need to replace Jon with one more Senate enabler of this administration’s abuses of power.
Let’s be clear about what that means.
When the tools of government are used to make people more afraid, more angry, and more alone — it’s serving the opposite of the government’s true purpose.
A well-run government enhances freedom — from fundamental freedoms like the right to speak your mind, to the economic freedoms that come from access to health care, and an affordable everyday life for your family.
That’s the kind of freedom Jon Ossoff stands for. And he represents the kind of leadership we cannot afford to lose in the Senate.
Jon’s election couldn’t be more important: There is no path to retaking the Senate that doesn’t run through Georgia.
The consequences of this election won’t just be felt in Washington or even Georgia — they’ll show up across America in the lives of people who need their government to stand up for their freedom, not take it away.
I don’t say this lightly, and I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t urgent. This is one of those moments that will define what comes next: for Jon’s campaign, for Georgia, and for our country. And it’s going to take all of us.
Gratefully,
— Pete
