John,

We are less than four months from the start of the next fiscal year, and the Trump administration still hasn’t submitted a full defense budget. No itemized accounts. No five-year defense plan. No 30-year shipbuilding roadmap — all of which are required by law.

What we’ve received so far? Just a barebones appendix with top-line figures. The number for Navy shipbuilding: $20.8 billion. That’s a massive drop from last year’s $36.6 billion. And make no mistake: that gap threatens procurement stability and workforce readiness across the entire maritime industrial base, especially back here in Connecticut.

As Ranking Member of the Seapower Subcommittee, I’ve made it my mission to deliver stability to the shipbuilding industry. But to keep up my fight in Washington, I need your help.

This month’s mid-month fundraising goal is so important — will you pitch in $ or whatever you can to help us keep the pressure up? [[link removed]]If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately with Courtney for Congress:
