Tax cuts for billionaires, gutting assistance for the poor, an expanding police state, global economic instability, and now, another war in the Middle East. George Bush is back:

The Bush presidency was a disaster for our nation, with echoes of that era haunting America to this day. Over 1,000,000 Iraqis died because of the Iraq war and its consequences. Donald Trump, for some reason, is doing his best Bush impression by supporting Israel’s continued genocide in Gaza and now, threatening another war in the Middle East:

If Trump orders our military to carry out attacks in Iran on behalf of Israel, it will be brazenly unconstitutional. In the constitution, the power to declare war lies with Congress. The president does not have the authority to unilaterally start a war and the American people are overwhelmingly against another war in the Middle East. We don’t want another George Bush.

When the U.S. declared war against Iraq, many Democrats in Congress joined the Republicans to support the disastrous decision. This cannot happen again. Clean Up the Caucus will be holding democrats accountable who join up with Trump and Netanyahu to advance MAGA’s warpath against Iran, especially those in the Congressional Progressive Caucus. 

The coming days will be crucial in preventing the Trump admin from declaring war and Democrats need to hold firm against the MAGA-Israel agenda.
