When I testified before the House Committee on Oversight, I didn’t hold back.

I told the truth. And I called out D.C. Republicans who constantly throw New Yorkers under the bus to appease Donald Trump.

And I won’t apologize for that. Not to Donald Trump’s lackeys like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan, and Elise Stefanik. Not to political pundits. Not to anyone. I will always put New York first.

After 8 hours of testifying, I was ready to get the hell back to New York, where I belong.

While some House Republicans tried to score cheap points by twisting the facts, I reminded them what real leadership looks like. I will always stand up for New Yorkers — and I will never be intimidated by political theater.

The GOP’s attempts to threaten our values and our safety aren’t going away.
