Congress members need increased security. Tell Republican leaders to stop blocking it

The recent shootings of Democratic elected officials in Minnesota once again show why Democratic officials in particular desperately need increased protection from potential attackers. Not just in the Capitol, but at home, on the road, etc.

But Republican leaders in Congress aren't doing a damn thing to make this happen, even though some of their own party members are calling for it.

On a near daily basis, Democratic members of Congress are subject to hate mail, death threats, and actual assaults. Potential attackers are spurred on by violent rhetoric from Trump and other Republicans, and by open GOP support for violence -- the January 6th criminals, the thugs who tried to kill Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, and the hammer attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband. Instead of being outraged by these attacks, Republicans laugh at them, and egg them on.

And Republican Congressional leaders are STILL not taking action to provide protection. They are horrible people, who are using the threats for their own political purposes.

Enough is enough. Tell Republican leaders to act NOW and take the steps necessary for increased security for members.
