John –
When leaders flout the law, attack our freedoms, and cut our services – all in the name of taking from our pockets and giving the spoils to their rich friends at the top – we have a duty to speak out.
When wealth and power become concentrated in the hands of a very privileged few, our democracy starts to look a lot more like a monarchy.
That's why on Saturday, I was proud to join folks in Sac City and Storm Lake for No Kings Day events.
I was amazed by the turnout and energy I saw – and these were in counties that went for Trump by 51 points and 33 points!

It's clear that something big and special is happening.
Iowans are alarmed by the open theft happening before our eyes these last few months. We're outraged by the casual cruelty of an administration that's sold out to corporations like JBS and Boeing, gutted aid for our veterans and farmers, and now is partnering with politicians like Joni Ernst to kick millions off their health care to "pay" for a billionaire tax cut.
We don't forsake our neighbors, and when we see our neighbors in trouble, we stand up for them. That is why the tides are changing, and it's why this grassroots campaign has early gas in the tank.
So we have to keep fueling for the fight ahead. We're taking on entrenched interests that do not cede ground easily.
Will you help me take them head-on by chipping in $11 or more today? Every contribution in this first month means that we can launch ads sooner, hire organizers quickly, and expose Joni Ernst's failed record before her billionaire backers can whitewash it.

Stand Tall for All,

P.S. Please take a minute to watch my speech before the crowd at Storm Lake and share it with a friend or two. As Justice Brandeis said, we can have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, or we can have a democracy – but we can't have both. That's what this fight is about.
