Hi John. I know many people have different views on our country’s leaders and the issues we face as a nation. And right now, the Trump Administration and a Republican-led congress are working to put their policy agenda in place.

I know that many people are concerned about everything from the quality of our local schools to America’s place in the world. So today, I wanted to see how you think things are going.

My job is to serve every person and corner of our community — regardless of party.

Whether we agree on everything or not is beside the point. Everyone deserves a government that works for them — not special interests, big corporations, or the extremes of either party.

That’s why I’ve made it a priority to focus on the issues that make a difference for Kansans. That includes capping the price of insulin at $35 a month for seniors and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

And on the U.S. House Agriculture Committee, I’m working with both parties to help Kansas farmers grow and deliver their food more cheaply. That means helping our local economy and lowering prices at the grocery store.
