Justice for her. Justice for all.

Dear John,
Donald Trump has made claims that he will “protect” women, yet his actions as president threaten our safety, dignity, and freedom. Over and over again, Trump has demonstrated that he will not protect survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.
Today, the National Women’s Law Center, along with our co-counsels, filed a lawsuit on behalf of a nationwide group of 17 state domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions to stop the Trump-Vance administration’s unlawful restrictions on grants issued by the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). Make a donation now to fuel our fight to protect all survivors in the face of unrelenting attacks. [[link removed]]

After taking office in January, Trump issued a series of executive orders directing agency heads to impose conditions on federal funding, including to curtail diversity, equity, and inclusion programs that the administration deems “illegal” and “immoral” and efforts that recognize and respect people regardless of gender identity. This includes federal grants that many domestic and sexual violence assistance providers rely on, meaning they are currently unable to operate effectively and may have to eliminate services entirely.
Our clients include programs, organizations, and individuals organized to ensure the elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault. These are in-community providers that offer services like case management, counseling, housing assistance, legal help, medical care, and more. Our clients truly protect survivors, and Donald Trump is trying to put restrictions on their ability to provide these critical services.
The National Women’s Law Center has been fighting and winning for women and girls for over 50 years. We knew immediately that the Trump administration’s promise to defend women was a lie, and now we’re going to court to show that Trump doesn’t protect women—we do. Will you chip in to support our work in court, in Congress, and in communities? [[link removed]]
