JOHN: Disturbing news out of the VA.

Doug Collins and his MAGA lackeys have revised the rules that prohibit discrimination of care based on marital status and politics, among other groups.

That means unwed mothers, Veterans, could be denied access to care at the VA.

It means Democrats, Veterans, could be denied access to care at the VA.

It means someone like Senator Tammy Duckworth — a wounded former United States Army helicopter pilot — could be denied access to care at the VA.

Let’s go back even further: Senator Daniel Inouye, a Veteran of the Second World War, Medal of Honor recipient from the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Lost his arm fighting Nazis in Italy. If he were alive today, he could be denied care.

To be clear: We have every faith in the dedicated men and women who work at the VA. This isn’t about them.

It is about a MAGA President and his MAGA VA secretary bringing their MAGA politics into the VA. Their blatant attempts at turning people they don’t agree with into second class citizens are clear to anyone paying attention.

This is all hands on deck. What we do not defend we are sure to lose.

Please, join VoteVets and DEMAND that the VA serve all who qualify for care — no matter their political affiliation, marital status, or any other characteristic Collins and Trump want to strike from the list.
