I saw a poll recently that showed only about 1 in 3 Americans know there is a bill in front of Congress right now that would give massive tax cuts to some of the richest people in this country while throwing about 15 million working families off their health care.

Think about that.

Millions of Americans could be about to lose their health care, access to nutrition assistance and more... and less than a majority of people know those things are on the chopping block in this Republican bill.

So it makes sense that Donald Trump and the Republican Party are going to try and distract us with all kinds of other things because they know that if more people knew what was going on, Republicans would be under pressure to stop it.

That is part of the reason I think there's a chance we can push four republican senators to vote to block this abomination of a bill. We have to try!

It is also why I chose this moment to start a PAC to support citizens and organizations who are mobilizing all over the country against Trump’s corruption. Not just talk, but with actual resources.

We’ve already made initial investments to support students and young people in Georgia and Pennsylvania who are fighting against Trump’s assault on democracy. We’re organizing doctors and nurses in Michigan and Louisiana and Utah to stop Trump’s cuts to Medicaid.

Wherever there are Americans willing to stand up against this corruption, we want to be there with the resources they need to mobilize. The fight is now, and so the money we raise goes to the work today.
