Greetings John,

I hope you are healthy and well. Tonette and I are doing well -
as are our adult sons Matt and Alex. My mother Pat continues to
stay at home but is also well.

Since you have been a tremendous supporter of our work, I am
sending an occasional email to keep you current on the work we
are doing to further the conservative movement. These days, there
is much to be done.

Week Ahead

Travel resumes as I will meet with the staff of Young America's
Foundation in Virginia and then the board in West Virginia later
this week. YAF was started by William F. Buckley, and Ronald
Reagan was one of their earliest leaders. Today, YAF has more
than 500 chapters on campuses all across America focused on
individual liberties, free enterprise, strong national defense,
and conservative values. They host the largest campus speakers
bureau, hold national and regional conferences, and own and
operate the Reagan Ranch. In 2021, I will become their President.

Top of this list at the meetings will be discussions on how we
can reach more young people during these challenging times to
espouse the virtues of freedom over socialism. Thankfully, a
recent poll of Gen Z, commissioned by YAF, showed they are more
open to conservative principles than Millennials.

Tonette and I also journeyed to Dixon, Illinois this past weekend
to see the childhood home of President Ronald Reagan. How amazing
to see the places that influenced our 40th President and learn
about the impact on him of his parents, his brother, his friends,
his church, his teachers, and his community. It was a very
special tour and one I hope others will make in the future.

Sincerely,

Scott Walker

Black Lives Matter: Reform Law Enforcement but Also Defund
Planned Parenthood

Each week, I write about a conservative topic for The Washington
Times. My last column focused on how Black Lives Matter should
lead to reform of the police (not defunding the police). But it
should also lead to defunding Planned Parenthood. Amazingly,
there are more abortions of black babies than there are live
births in New York City.

The protection of innocent unborn babies has always been
important to me and Tonette. That's why I am pleased to help
Students for Life Action in their work to get pro-life students
to speak out and persuade others to join the movement.

MEDIA

On Tuesday morning, I was again a panelist on the National Report
on Newsmax TV. On Friday evening, I will be on The Evening Edit
on Fox Business News. These are the confirmed appearances while
more might appear later this week. And of course, I always look
forward to doing my podcast - You Can't Recall Courage - on
Friday. You can listen to my latest podcast below.

Much of the discussion will be about the protests and the
hypocrisy of liberals like the Mayor of New York City who
continues the lockdown while promoting mass protests. We will
most certainly also talk about the disconnect from history when
protesters target statues of anti-slavery leaders. And we will
likely talk about what all of this means in November.

What happened to George Floyd should never take place in America.
We should be working to reform the criminal justice system. But
safety also begins with the unborn. We cannot live in a society
where there is such a clear bias toward aborting black babies.
Black lives matter.
